What's it about?

Alexandre Kantorow, piano Sir Antonio Pappano, conductor Chamber Orchestra of Europe Johannes Brahms: Piano Concerto No. 1 in d minor, Op. 15 Antonín Dvořák: Symphony No. 7 in d minor, Op. 70 Primarily known as music director of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, but also as chief conductor of the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the English-born Sir Antonio Pappano has left his mark on the music world in recent decades. Now he is once again guesting in the Haydn Hall at the podium of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe for two major works by two close friends and composers. The brilliant young French musician Alexandre Kantorow is featured as the soloist for Johannes Brahms' magnificent Piano Concerto No. 1. Complementing this is Antonín Dvořák's dramatic yet melodic Symphony No. 7, which serves as an exhilarating counterpart.
