The Wiener Tschuschenkapelle understands like hardly any other how to bring together the various traditions of Balkan music without creating a bland stew. Rather, a lively musical picture of Southeast Europe is presented - Mediterranean serenades, Greek Rembetiko, Bosnian Sevdalinka, Macedonian 7/8 and 9/8 rhythms, exuberant Slavonian Gstanzl, they even venture into classical music - the band has already played with the Vienna Philharmonic in the Vienna State Opera. The rich tradition of Austrian folk music and Viennese songs is included, so one can speak of a real musical "Intercity". The music is originally arranged, well played and performed with humor and charm. The audience is guaranteed an enjoyable and at the same time sophisticated evening without background music and superficial tomfoolery.
