The plot is as simple as it is ingenious: A rich uncle will only give his nephew money if he shows him a lunatic asylum. The nephew tricks him and takes him to Pension Schöller - and the uncle thinks the guests there are all crazy! But it gets more and more chaotic: A retired major, a curious writer, an adventurous world traveler, a crazy pilot and an actress with a funny speech impediment confuse him. And when the "crazy" guests even visit him at home...
