Sinabell Klettersteig (C/D)

What's it about?

We chose this via ferrata for good reasons: it is one of the most beautiful scenic routes, and the summit offers an indescribable panoramic view. To reach the start, a 1000m ascent from Feistererhof up to Guttenberghaus must first be made, which naturally filters out some climbers, so the route is not heavily trafficked. Although it goes almost 300m almost vertically through the south face of the Sinabell, the difficulties for this steepness are relatively low and are in the upper C range. However, the route is extremely airy and exposed, which we really like :-)! An ideal via ferrata for mountain lovers for whom the approach is not a torment, but part of the tour. The Sinabell summit is over 2000m with a magnificent panoramic view of the Dachstein massif plateau. Start is at Feistererhof and we hike approx. 2 hours to Guttenberghaus, a short break and then 2 hours through the via ferrata. Coffee at GBH and 1.5 hours descent to ...
