GRANDMA HATZ & WALLETSCHEK ACCORDION ORCHESTRA Franziska Hatz, accordion, vocals | Richie Winkler, saxophone, clarinet, keyboard | Andrea Fränzel, electric bass, double bass | Sasa Nikolic, drums The band "Grandma Hatz", founded in 2009, is characterized by its stylistic openness and musical experimentalism. The ensemble combines elements from Klezmer, Balkan music, jazz, pop and traditional folk music to express joie de vivre and musical agility. The VIA audience already got to know "Grandma Hatz" in Oberdrauburg in 2019 and at Kötschach train station in 2022. The amateur orchestra "Walletschek" with around 20 accordionists of all ages stands for musical diversity, creative forms of expression and communal music-making at a high level.
