When the gates of the castle town of Friesach open, knights, maidens, minstrels, jugglers and craftsmen enter the streets and bring the Middle Ages back to life. Within the venerable city walls, visitors can expect a colourful hustle and bustle with sword fights, medieval music, dances, craftsmanship, camp groups, children's knight tournament, storming of the city and an impressive fire spectacle.
