Kunstinstallation: Wachhäuschen von Hannes Zebedin

What's it about?

In a temporary art installation, Hannes Zebedin works with soil samples from historically significant locations in the Alps-Adriatic region. From clay collected at ten sites associated with events around World War II, a small watchhouse is created in rammed earth construction. Each visible layer represents a site and makes history readable in the material. The walk-in house recalls observation posts and serves as a symbolic vantage point: it 'guards' the present and warns against recognizing dangerous political developments. www.lendhauer.org
