Until 1961, thousands of cars still drove from Arthur-Lemisch-Platz via Kramergasse to Wiener Gasse. What is normal today was a sensation back then. Kramergasse, Arthur-Lemisch-Platz and Wiener Gasse became car-free. Today, people stroll comfortably through Klagenfurt city center here. No trace of cars. In Kramergasse, you can find the coats of arms of Klagenfurt's partner cities embedded in the ground.
