Where Carinthia's history began From the Klagenfurt city area, this tour leads out onto the wide Zollfeld – the valley where central chapters of Carinthian history were written. Amidst fields, churches, and historic sites, a landscape full of significance unfolds. Stations such as the Herzogstuhl, the Fürstenstein, and Maria Saal Cathedral tell of the time of the ducal inauguration and of the political rituals that shaped Carinthia.
