Where Carinthia's history began From the Klagenfurt city area, this tour leads out onto the wide Zollfeld – the valley where central chapters of Carinthian history were written. Amidst fields, churches, and historic sites, a landscape full of significance unfolds. Stations such as the Herzogstuhl, the Fürstenstein, and Maria Saal Cathedral tell of the time of the ducal inauguration and of the political rituals that shaped Carinthia. A tour that combines movement and history – through the historical heart of the state. Break along the way (consumption not included). A trip to the origins of the state.
