The HAMMOND organ is the focus, once an adornment for tens of thousands of churches, but for decades an indispensable sound body for pop - rock - jazz - Schlager! In this globally unique exhibition, practically the entire model range of this incomparable global success is available, starting with the HAMMOND A model from 1935, through countless other, sometimes bizarre, development steps, up to the legendary HAMMOND B 3 and HAMMOND C 3 models, which to this day represent the non plus ultra of electromechanical musical instruments worldwide, and accordingly still shape the sound of current hits and concerts by world stars after more than 70 years !!! The fascination of this instrument is hard to describe: Is it more this highly complex yet almost indestructible technology, or rather this heartwarming sound? Or perhaps both?
