Artist-led tour through the art installation: Wachhäuschen by Hannes Zebedin

What's it about?

As part of a guided tour through the installation Wachhäuschen, Hannes Zebedin offers insights into the creation of the work and its thematic background. The project's starting point revolves around questions of memory, political responsibility, and societal forms of belonging and exclusion. For the installation, clay from ten different locations in the Alpine-Adriatic region was used, all connected with political upheavals, border shifts, and the consequences of the 20th century. Together with the artist, visitors can explore the spatial design of the work and learn more about the ideas underlying the guardhouse. The tour offers an opportunity to experience the installation as an accessible space for reflection and to engage in conversation with the artist about the meaning of history, remembrance culture, and their effects on the present.
