Artist Tour: Art Installation: Wachhäuschen by Hannes Zebedin

What's it about?

As part of the accompanying program for the "Wachhäuschen" installation, the Lendhauer association invites you to an artist tour with Hannes Zebedin at Lendhafen Klagenfurt on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 7:30 PM. In a temporary art installation, Hannes Zebedin works with soil samples from historically significant places in the Alpine-Adriatic region. A small guardhouse is created using rammed earth construction from clay from ten sites associated with events surrounding World War II. Each visible layer represents a place and makes history readable in the material. The walk-in house is reminiscent of surveillance posts and sees itself as a symbolic observation point: It "guards" the present and warns against recognizing dangerous political developments.
