What's it about?

Concert enjoyment at the Augstsee stage on the Loser in Altaussee What happens when musicians from the Vienna Volksoper and a seasoned folk music trio come together? "classic alpin" is born. The ensemble, initiated by Renate Linortner, combines flute, strings, and harp with accordion and dulcimer. Sigi Lemmerer's extraordinary arrangements allow classical and Alpine music to seemingly flow into one another. Amidst the special mountain scenery on Altaussee's local mountain, Loser, visitors can expect a special musical experience at the open-air stage on Augstsee at an airy 1,600 meters above sea level. A sophisticated concert afternoon full of nuances, flexibility, and pure joy of playing awaits listeners on this wonderful summer day in the Ausseerland. The ascent is conveniently made with the Loser Panoramabahn to the mountain station. From there, the stage at Augstsee can be reached in approximately 10 minutes on foot.
