Herbstführungen am Wilden Berg

What's it about?

When autumn arrives at Wilden Berg Mautern, the animal inhabitants begin preparing for the cold season. Starting from September 18, 2026, special autumn tours will invite visitors to learn about the different winter strategies of the animals and observe their changes directly in the zoo. Every Friday, visitors will learn interesting facts about how the animals prepare for winter during the approximately 1.5-hour tour. While some animals gain winter fat, others develop a particularly thick coat or store supplies. The tour starts at 10 a.m. at the mountain station and offers exciting insights into the wildlife of Wilden Berg. The number of participants is limited to at least 5 and a maximum of 20 people. The tour costs 6 euros for adults and 2.50 euros for children born in 2011 or later. Prior registration is absolutely necessary due to the limited number of participants. Remaining spots will be allocated based on availability.
