What kind of toxic mother-son relationship is actually depicted in the children's song "Hänschen klein"? And why is a cheerful tune sung about a cook who cuts a pug in half? And those fairy tales! What illness does Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother have, which can be cured with wine!? In a xylophone-friendly cabaret horror show, Caroline Athanasiadis and Klaus Oppitz examine the stories of our childhood more closely. And they ask themselves what a modern children's song should sound like. One that reassures the little ones in safety while they head towards a life of economic crisis, heart attack, and divorce.
