The market town of Breitenbrunn am Neusiedler See features a tower in its coat of arms, the defensive tower that majestically shapes the townscape and thus became the emblem of the market town centuries ago. Its popular name "Türkenturm" (Turk's Tower) recalls its defensive function during difficult war days. In 1969, the "Türkenturm" was established as a museum. The Tower Museum houses, among other things, the mechanism of Burgenland's oldest tower clock, the Winden Cave Bear, old tools and coins, map images, and much more.
