In their new home, they reunited – and merged Bohemian with German musical traditions. A program with music by Robert Schumann, among others, is part of the Bamberger core repertoire, freshly prepared for HERBSTGOLD together with Julian Rachlin in the dual role of soloist and conductor. In Schumann's gripping, magnificent Fourth, the light and cheerfulness of the world ultimately triumph over brooding solitude.
