Exhibition: gifted, bought, borrowed

What's it about?

The objects in our museum collection are diverse. Among them are acquisitions, donations, and permanent loans. Some have already been shown in exhibitions, some have not yet and are in storage. Particularly valuable art treasures lie here alongside everyday objects. All together, they are our cultural heritage. The exhibition shows a colorful cross-section of the collection. It offers a look behind the depot walls, at the origin of the collection and the work with it. Less well-preserved items also come to the museum through donations or bequests. Restoration measures are costly and not always feasible. Therefore, you will also see one or two unrestored objects in our exhibition. And our latest addition is also on display - the collection of the former Hairdresser's Museum of Gertraud Lener, showing various exhibits from the collection in this exhibition.
