What's it about?

The museum offers a fascinating insight into the world of the past. It shows what life was like at that time, how a convicted person was treated, how a court trial was conducted, and what penalties could be expected. In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of the estate near Salzburg — from Roman times to the artificial island in Lake Fuschl, providing a range of interesting information from a bygone era. In 2024, under the #ploetzhof project as part of the LEADER II initiative, a bridge was installed over the Baderbach stream, creating a picturesque connection from the impressive old prison to the Baderbach mill. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) — the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall — during a short walk. Opening hours: Self-guided visits are possible year-round daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, depending on weather conditions (no snow removal!).
