What's it about?

The Cap Hall will once again become a movie theater this year. With the fictional cinematic long-term study "Boyhood," US director Richard Linklater has addressed trust as a process: The coming-of-age drama was filmed over a period of twelve years and follows the life of young Mason, from his early school days at the age of six to his entry into college. When Mason's mother marries her university lecturer, the boy finds himself in a blended family – in which his stepfather soon shows his true colors. And this is not the only difficulty Mason must overcome on his 12-year journey into adulthood. Since the film was shot over a span of twelve years, the actors grow and age, so that the story of growing up could actually be portrayed with the same cast throughout the lengthy film project – a cinematic long-term study.
