What's it about?
Do you have a right to be entertained? Who told you that your opinion even matters? And do you have the right to judge what is going on here? On this wonderful evening, I will be your court jester (in a funny costume) and provide you with a show for your entertainment. But am I allowed to resist my task of providing you with a show? In the past, it was the court jester's job to entertain his nobles on demand. And if he didn't, he risked being tortured or killed. The good old days... But even today, the rigid hierarchy between artist, artwork, and audience is not questioned. The norm is to receive great works of art. On this basis, the audience judges their value. The artists remain excluded from the discussion, their own opinion plays no role. All he can do is deliver the work, justify its existence, and accept the opinions he receives. But don't forget: He is a human being who builds up internal pressure through expectations. Sometimes he collapses under this pressure. So what if I, your personal court jester for tonight, don't meet your expectations? Am I only here for that? Does it concern me how comfortable your seat is? Those who give more enable others to have cheaper access. In this way, we want to make art and culture accessible to as many people as possible. The box office at the respective venue opens one hour before the start of the performance. Please note that entry after the start of the performance may not always be possible for late arrivals.
