Freilichtmuseum "Brunnbauerhof"

Who we are The "Brunnbauer" heritage farm, located in the Pramtal, is a typical Innviertel four-sided farm with a residential building in log construction, two stable buildings in solid construction, and a barn built according to old carpenter's statics. The original furnishings from the period between 1806 and 1910 convey a vivid impression of rural living conditions and historical agricultural techniques. The listed ensemble is complemented by a house chapel, the fish pond, and the bakehouse. The "Prunbaur" was first mentioned in a document in 1532. Group tours: Bookable: May to October by prior arrangement Max. duration: 1 hour Group sizes: 5 to 10 people What we do The open-air museum is operated by the non-profit association "Innviertler Freilichtmuseum Brunnbauerhof". We see our primary tasks in the mediation, preservation, presentation, and research of the uniqueness of this traditional cultural heritage in the Innviertel. The juxtaposition and visualization of past and present is an important concern for us. Through special exhibitions, traditional and cultural events, musicians' regulars' tables, poetry readings, and theater performances, the open-air museum becomes a lively meeting place for generations. We want to present our Brunnbauerhof worldwide via the internet and invite visitors. Every year in November, riders from the region gather in honor of St. Leonhard for the traditional "Leonhardiritt" (St. Leonard's Ride) around the "Brunnbauerhof" for the blessing of horses. Every two years, we invite visitors to our popular "Martini-Markt" (St. Martin's Market). Krapfen (doughnuts) and Pofesen (a traditional pastry from our region) are very popular at every event.
