What's it about?
Oh, du mein Himbeerzuckerl! A satirical homeland novel in four courses – with Erdäpflkas (potato dish), Blunzngröstl (blood sausage fry-up) and lots of black humor. Homeland can be so beautiful – especially when it is properly stirred up! In "Oh, du mein Himbeerzuckerl!" Franz Prieler presents a somewhat different homeland evening: satirical, politically incorrect, hearty culinary and definitely not entirely suitable for young minds. Franz Prieler, founding father of O2, Kabarett O2, KUPF and Festival der Regionen, is also well known for his collaborations with Josef Hader, Maria Hofstätter and many cabaret greats. But this homeland novel will not only be read, but also cooked up: during the two breaks, visitors will be served Erdäpflkas and Blunzngröstl. Thus, the reading becomes an extraordinary evening for all the senses – with ear candy, palate pleasures, eye candy, and memorable kitchen aromas. "Oh, du mein Himbeerzuckerl!" offers a different kind of homeland knowledge: a literary-culinary journey between nostalgia and the present, satire and social critique, potatoes and blood sausage.
