What's it about?

A floodplain forest, the Wimbach, and the flat bog invite you on an exciting discovery tour. The therapeutic effect of this bog has been known since 1364! Our NATURSCHAUSPIEL guides lead visitors to hidden treasures of flora and fauna in all seasons and with different thematic focuses. We start directly behind the OptimaMed Health Resort Bad Wimsbach. To our left lies the bog area, and on the opposite side is the forest. We immediately experience the fascination of this special plant world, a wildness in nature that we rarely encounter today. Tinder fungus and Trametes grow on dead trees and find ideal conditions here. The black alder manages to survive only due to a close relationship with certain bacteria in the wet soil.
