Enjoy a cozy dinner with loved ones! Every Wednesday from 6 pm, we serve a 3-course evening menu, including one 0.75l bottle of wine. The menu will be a surprise; we are happy to ask in advance if everything planned suits you and to accommodate your wishes. Travel information: How to get to the restaurant Das Geyerhammer in Scharstein in the Almtal. We recommend traveling by public transport! By train: from Wels station with the Almtalbahn (line 153) towards Grünau im Almtal to the Scharnstein-Mühldorf stop; numerous connections from Wels station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101). It is about a 5-7 minute walk from the station over the Hofmüllersteg to the restaurant. Arrival: Departure from Linz Hbf at 4:22 pm / 5:30 pm (Tue - Fri), from Wels Hbf at 4:50 pm / 5:50 pm (Tue - Fri), arriving in Scharnstein-Mühldorf at 5:45 pm / 6:45 pm. For travel from Wels, we recommend the Upper Austria leisure ticket for €19.90 (for 2 persons, round trip). Return: Since the last return with the Almtalbahn departs at 8:16 pm towards Wels, it is advisable to travel from Wels at 4:50 pm to have enough time for dinner. If you wish to arrive later, we recommend taking the train at 9:45 pm to Grünau im Almtal and staying overnight at places like the Romantikhotel Almtalhof (near the station). By bus: OÖVV bus line 533 Gmunden - Scharnstein - Grünau im Almtal; stop Scharnstein Ortszentrum, about 15-17 minutes walk to the restaurant. The same return options apply as with train travel. By Salzkammergut Shuttle Service: Route 52 from Laakirchen to Bahnhof Scharnstein-Mühldorf or from Vorchdorf with Route 70 to Almbrücke. Please call at least 1 hour in advance at 050-422 422 or order via the otaxi app. Return by 8:00 pm is possible; afterwards, regional taxi services or overnight stays in the region are options. By car: A1 Westautobahn: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz - A9 or A8 Inntalautobahn Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A9 - Ried/Tr. exit - via Voitsdorf, Pettenbach, Scharnstein, to the Almbrücke exit. Or A1 Munich - Salzburg - Regau - Gmunden - Scharnstein; then Scharnstein - Almbrücke exit - parking at the restaurant or the 100-meter distant parking lot for Scharnstein castle ruins.
