Heritage Day at the Geyerhammer Scythe Museum. The 400-year tradition of scythe production in Scharnstein comes alive again in the Scythe Museum. Former blacksmiths demonstrate the high art of scythe forging using faithfully preserved forging hammers. You will also gain comprehensive insights into the working world and social life of the scythe blacksmiths, as well as into the rapid rise of the Redtenbacher company to become the largest scythe producer in the Danube Monarchy until its end in 1987.
