What's it about?

The musical Hair originated in New York in 1967 and is considered the first major rock musical in history. It reflects the spirit of the late 1960s \u2013 a time characterized by protests against the Vietnam War, the emergence of the hippie movement, and the call for peace, love, and freedom. At its center is a group of young people \u2013 the so-called Tribe \u2013 who rebel in New York against war, racism, social constraints, and political authority. They live by the motto \u201cMake Love, Not War\u201d and seek a life in harmony with nature and themselves. Central themes are freedom, identity, sexuality, and the rejection of the establishment.
