Schlossgalerie Steyr

The "Stirapurhc" was first mentioned around 980. The mighty keep of the original fortress is still preserved today. In the 11th century, the Otakare administered their "Mark" on the Steyr (today Styria) from here. In 1727, the entire complex was destroyed by a fire and rebuilt by the Counts Lamberg as a representative Baroque castle. Today, the Schlossgalerie is used for events and changing exhibitions by regional and national artists.
