For the self-taught artist Josef Eibl (born 1957, lives in Niederkappel), every painting holds a secret that is unspeakable and therefore needs a picture. What is seen in the picture is the meaning, and that is the challenge for viewers. For the project "Courage for Peace," Josef Eibl painted the villages of Lembach in very reduced forms with acrylic paints on wooden panels.
