Pfarrkirche Lembach

Lembach, Upper Austria

The center of the house of God is the folk altar made of black marble, which is clearly visible from all sides. In front of it stands a beautiful wooden cross. The tabernacle, made of steel and gilded by Franz Premetshofer, stands freely on a marble column. Behind it burns the Eternal Light. The concrete glass windows created by Lydia Roppolt in the Schlierbach workshop appear particularly colorful. Behind the baptismal font hangs a picture of Saint Margarita, the patron saint of the parish. It shows the martyr with her typical attributes - sword, dragon, and a small cross. To the side at the beginning of the nave hangs a picture of Christ, which recalls the visions that Sister Faustyna Kowalska had in 1931 in a monastery in Plock (Poland). Between a baroque STATUE OF JOSEPH WITH THE INFANT JESUS and a STATUE OF MARY, which Father Pilz brought from Fatima, hangs a Trinity group, called "Throne of Grace", a popular depiction in the Middle Ages. The redemptive work of the Triune God is depicted pictorially in short form. In the former apse, 14 Stations of the Cross surround a crucifixion group with Mary and John.
