Mosaikseminar

What's it about?

Instructor: Gabriella Buzzi Course dates: Monday, July 19 to Friday, July 23, 2027, Monday from 10 am to 5 pm, Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm, Friday from 9 am to 12 pm. Gabriella Buzzi, master of the mosaic school of Spilimbergo in Friuli, northern Italy, offers a five-day seminar, a classic among the courses of the Gmünd Summer Academy. She teaches the traditional laying technique from the only mosaic school founded over 100 years ago worldwide, the "High School of Spilimbergo," as well as modern styles with colorful glass stones. After a brief introduction to the art of mosaics, participants choose their motif, with the instructor providing a wide selection of templates. Participants can also bring their own templates from home, and the instructor is happy to assist with adapting them for mosaic work. Due to time constraints, faces cannot be created. There is also the option to submit the desired motif in advance to facilitate its development within the available time frame.
