What's it about?
Instructor: Anne Deuter Course dates: Monday, July 12 to Wednesday, July 14, 2027, from 10 am to 5 pm each day In this three-day advanced bookbinding course, you will deepen your bookbinding skills and learn sophisticated techniques. Using the Criss-Cross binding, the Coptic binding combined with the French chain stitch, and binding on bands as well as a slip-in album, you will explore different construction principles, cover solutions, and design possibilities. Step by step, you will create individual books that combine function and form. There is room to incorporate your own ideas, test materials, and creatively develop the techniques learned. The course is aimed at participants with prior knowledge who want to expand their bookbinding skills, learn new binding types, and further develop their personal design style. The material list will be sent approximately two weeks before the course begins via email.
