Experience the unique and traditional Heiligenbluter Sternsingen! At 4:00 PM, the sending ceremony of the Heiligenbluter Sternsinger takes place at the parish church of Heiligenblut. With the light blessed by the priest, the candles in the lanterns of the star singers are lit. The nine star singing groups (each consisting of a star bearer, five musicians, and ten singers) then go from house to house singing their traditional star singing songs, to deliver the message of Christ's birth and good wishes for a blessed new year to all residents. Let yourself be enchanted by the magic of this unique, centuries-old custom — which was recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2010!
