Where the Soul Dances - Hathor Consort

Wednesday 29 July · 17:30Berg · kaernten

What's it about?

A journey through time, sound, and longing. The evening is more than a concert - it is a journey through time, sound, and longing. The music spans from the mystical traditions of the Whirling Dervishes of Turkey and Syria to present-day Europe. The Arabic percussion instruments, the oud (lute) and ney (flute), the baroque viola da gamba, violin, and vocals weave a delicate net in which sound and silence embrace. The Hathor Consort was founded in 2012 by Romina Lischka and named after Hathor, the Egyptian goddess of music, love, and connection. Hathor Consort Romina Lischka, viola da gamba, vocals & artistic direction Viva Biancaluna Biffi, soprano & violin Khaled Alhafez, vocals Tammam Mohamed Al Ramadan, ney Tristan Driessens, oud Firas Hassan, percussion Nina De Vroome, video Program From the Moon to the Fish Concert duration approx. 70 minutes, no intermission
