Kreisky Adieu Unsterblichkeit For over 20 years, the four-piece band has been inspiring audiences with their powerful art rock and lyrics that can certainly be read as literature. The new album is a journey into the heart of darkness and, as the band itself says, "cathartic music for these damn times." The album features songs full of melancholy and ironic self-pity, sometimes tangled pop abstraction, then again ruthless ecstasy. Born from the spirit of Krautrock and punk attitude and performed with existential fervor, the music from the Austrian indie scene is now indispensable, and the band owes its excellent reputation especially to their live performances. The Kreisky mass is celebrated in the classic rock line-up: drums (loud: Klaus Mitter), bass (also loud: Helmuth Brossmann), guitar (very loud: Martin Max Offenhuber), vocals (not at all quiet: Franz Adrian Wenzl). And that – even after more than twenty years – continues to be the case.
