What's it about?

Literary hiking / literarni pohod If you are a fan of fine storytelling, interested in the history of the South Carinthian region, and want to follow the real traces of the novel "Engel des Vergessens" by the Bachmann Prize winner Maja Haderlap... then join us on a hike that quotes places and words, shows original locations and places of residence, and can lead into the heart of the forest as well as into the inner feelings of the Carinthian Slovenes. Hiking and listening, reading and reflecting, but also exchanging ideas about the experience — all of this has its place and takes its time during our literary hikes. That is why we carry not only water and snacks in our backpacks but also all the books — the publications of the Haderlap family as well as those by Florjan Lipuš, Peter Handke, and other authors. After visiting the Peršman Time-Historical Museum, the group can conclude with the most beautiful view over the Eastern Carnic Alps at the Riepl Alpine Guesthouse.
