The association Kino Kreativ Kulturaktiv has existed since 2000 as a platform; in 2001, the association was founded. Since its founding, Kino Kreativ Kulturaktiv has established itself as a productive cultural association with its cultural program, extending far beyond the former concept of mere film screenings. The cultural program now ranges from film to readings and concerts, to exhibitions in the Galerie Vorspann / Galerija Vprega. The Galerie Vorspann – founded in 2004 – can already point to numerous high-quality and well-attended exhibitions by artists from Austria and abroad, and has thereby made a name for itself far beyond Carinthia's art and cultural landscape. In addition to the cultural offerings, visitors appreciate the uniqueness of the region and the hospitality of the people. They are always enthusiastic about the extraordinary vernissages with a sophisticated accompanying program of music, literature, and documentary film. Therefore, for many, no journey is too far to be there again, perhaps even to stay overnight, in order to fully enjoy what is offered.
