What's it about?

Festival for contemporary dance and performance art. The new Zugzwang Dance Festival in Klagenfurt aims to become a national and international hub for diverse, contemporary stage art and its latest developments. Under the artistic direction of Dušana Baltić, the festival's goal is to invite accessible and visually appealing productions with socially relevant themes from dance and performance. The audience is invited to marvel, feel, reflect, and engage in new experiences. Furthermore, the festival sees itself as a place of encounter and artistic exchange, where different perspectives and forms of expression come together. International guest performances meet local positions and open new dialogues between artists and the audience.
