Gustav Mahler Privatuniversität für Musik

Austria's youngest music university is located in Carinthia's provincial capital, Klagenfurt: The Gustav Mahler Private University for Music (GMPU) looks back on over a hundred years of educational tradition from the Carinthian State Conservatory. In the spirit of Gustav Mahler, the university is aware of tradition, but explicitly commits to innovation in research, teaching, music practice, science, and art. The location of the GMPU in the Konzerthaus Klagenfurt particularly favors the intention of the interplay between concert practice, music studies, and music research.
