Play development as part of the EU project "CLARITY-Climate Art City" Theater Waltzwerk in cooperation with the Cultural Department of the Provincial Capital Klagenfurt. Henry David Thoreau moved into a small hut on Walden Pond in 1845 to lead a consciously simple life for two years. He wanted to find out what was really important in life - without distraction from possessions, work, noise or social expectations - and began to describe his surroundings. The play development WALD* explores the forest as a habitat, presents and questions Henry David Thoreau and his work, examines the desire for a new beginning / turning away from society, and addresses climate protection and nature writing. The audience is invited to reflect on their own relationship to nature, consumption, time and self-determination. WALD* is not an escape, but an invitation to pause. A poetic-theatrical description of nature with the question: How do we want to live? Directed and adapted by: Sarah Rebe...
