The Klagenfurt Benediktinermarkt is much more than just farm bread and colorful vegetables. It masterfully bridges the gap between established market stalls and urban gourmet cuisine. In recent years, with a change of generations, it has blossomed to new popularity and is a true declaration of love to the Alpine-Adriatic region. The Klagenfurt Benediktinermarkt attracts many. Not only the health-conscious, the local food enthusiasts, but also the numerous vendors from Italy and Slovenia, who give the market in the Alpine-Adriatic region its very own flair. They make it colorful, as do the guests - young to old, simple to noble. Every Thursday and Saturday from 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM is a big market day. (If a market day falls on a public holiday, the market is canceled or moved to the previous day). In the two halls of the Benediktinermarkt, you can also stroll and sample gastronomic delights from Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Wednesday until 1:45 PM).
