The Stadtmuseum Eisenerz invites you on an exciting journey through the history of one of Austria's most important mining towns. In the historic Old Town Hall on Bergmannplatz, you will experience how closely people's lives have been connected to the Styrian Erzberg for centuries. The exhibition impressively conveys the development of Eisenerz - from the beginnings of ore mining to the lives of the miners and the cultural and economic significance of the town. Numerous historical exhibits, documents, and everyday objects tell of the working and living conditions of past generations and bring the region's history to life. A special focus is on mining history and the development of the town and its traditional townhouses. The holiday tours take place on Tuesday, July 14, Tuesday, August 4, and Tuesday, August 18, 2026, each at 2:30 PM in the Stadtmuseum Eisenerz. Registration is required at least 2 hours...
