Artist talk: Friday, October 30, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at KulturQuartier Leoben. "Die, die da sind" is a series of projects by the Styrian Cultural Initiative that deals with the fates of people persecuted, deported, murdered, or displaced during the Nazi era. The starting point are the Stolpersteine (stumbling stones) in public space. For the exhibition "RX XII – Connection | The Present," artist Reni Hofmüller is developing a poetic spatial installation that connects Stolpersteine as well as the rivers and streams of Leoben. Through electromagnetic fields, memories become audible and experiencable – demonstrating that remembrance remains alive as long as we give it space. The exhibition will be inaugurated with a tour of the Stolpersteine in Leoben and accompanied by a concert (performance) by the artist. Schedule: Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM – Tour of the Stolpersteine in Leoben Meeting point: Main building of the University, Franz Josef-Straße 18 Followed by: Greetings from a representative of the Montanuniversität Leoben rectorate Greetings from Mayor Kurt Wallner Then at KulturQuartier Leoben, Leopoldine-Pohl-Platz 1: Opening of the spatial installation "RX XII – Connection | The Present" Concert by Reni Hofmüller
