What's it about?

At Mureck's main square, Saint Nicholas makes a ceremonial entrance – accompanied by his faithful servant Ruprecht, the Krampusse (traditional devil figures), and the mysterious forest spirits. He is already warmly welcomed by numerous children, their parents, and grandparents. The music school of Mureck provides a festive and atmospheric setting with their melodies, creating a special ambiance. The children of Mureck elementary school also contribute to this celebration with songs. A special highlight is the children's Krampus run, where the youngest participants, dressed in wonderful costumes, joyfully and enthusiastically take on the roles of the spooky figures. Thus, festive reflection is combined with lively tradition, making the evening an unforgettable experience for both young and old.
