What's it about?

The name 'Kathrein' is derived from Saint Catherine, whose feast day is November 25th. The Kathrein dance traditionally marks the end of the 'traditional' dance season in folk culture, usually on the last Sunday before, following the saying 'Kathrein stops the dance,' before Advent begins, a period without dancing. We invite you to an enjoyable afternoon for women and men of all ages, who wish to dance or learn folk dances and figure dances from various alpine regions in a convivial setting. You are welcome with or without a dance partner. Led by: Robert Sedelmaier, dance leader of ARGE Volkstanz Stmk. and Mag.a Barbara Hatzl, dance educator. Cost: An enjoyable afternoon of folk dancing including seminar refreshments for €25.00.
