Photo: Familie SchwarzFeistritztal, Styria
A wonderfully preserved wooden log house near the B54 in Kaibing. No one driving past it suspects what treasures are hidden inside. The Schwarz family has spent years collecting beautiful objects from the living and everyday life of the region and now presents them in their 200-year-old, restored log house. The focus of the collection is on motif postcards. Over 20,000 cards are neatly stored in folders and can be comfortably viewed in the Bauernstube (farmhouse parlor). Since the well-known pilgrimage site Maria Fieberbründl is located just behind the forest, one finds many, many holy pictures in this "Walkable Picture Book," which, together with the postcards and pilgrimage souvenirs, represent the rich history of this sanctuary. By appointment and with a voluntary donation, Berta and Bernhard Schwarz are happy to show their treasures. Opening hours: by telephone appointment! Watch VIDEO Begehbares Bilderbuch here
