Between megalomania and grumpiness, politics and private life, humor, melancholy, and anger, Paul Sies ventures with his songs into areas where it hurts. Always joyful, never cynical – but you won't find comfort elsewhere. Paul's melancholic murder ballads meander along the streets of Nick Cave's neighborhood, shine through the darkest paths of German singer-songwriters of the 1970s, and stroll like chansonniers on even earlier paths. However, he repeatedly dresses the deeply sad in absurd costumes: his songs are full of uniqueness and charm, as well as sorrow and comfort. Here, someone has no desire to sell out. His recently released single "Auch in der Nazizeit war Spargelzeit" went viral in no time – and rightly so. It touches, it hurts a lot, and in the best case, it also makes a difference. A rare triple that is reserved only for truly good and special songs. In early 2027, a new album will be released, and on this occasion, Paul Sies will go on his first major tour.
