What's it about?

"Da Blechhauf’n" plays brass music with a touch of irony, dance, acrobatics, and magic. A production for eyes and ears. "Da Blechhauf’n" – Austrian for "The Tin Heap", abbreviated "BH" – is a brass band from Austria. The group was formed through shared playing in a music club and in leisure time in Neckenmarkt, Middle Burgenland. The first official concert took place in 2000, and since its founding, they have performed around 1,000 concerts throughout the German-speaking region, including Holland and Italy. Three of the musicians are from Burgenland, three from Styria, and one from Carinthia. Since the Woodstock of Brass Music festival was established in 2011, they have performed annually at the brass music festival. From 2013 to 2019, the extended live lineup "da Blechhauf’n XXL", which included electric guitar and drums, performed. Together with Swiss singer and performer Erika Stucky, they also formed "Wally & die 7 Geier". Since 2019, they have released a joint CD and stage program "Home" with German exceptional trumpeter Christoph Moschberger. "Da Blechhauf’n" can now be heard on a total of nine self-produced recordings and has appeared on various music shows such as "Mei liabste Weis", "Klingendes Österreich", "Die Wirtshausmusikanten", and "Servus-TV Musikantenstammtisch". Besides virtuosic instrumental pieces, "da Blechhauf’n" also performs works with singing and slapstick elements. Therefore, an evening concert is not only a concert but also resembles a musical cabaret.
