The nativity scene of Styria! During the first two Advent weekends, the romantic village of Pürgg transforms into a Christmas 'nativity scene'. A unique Advent market moves into the houses and enchants visitors year after year. At Advent on the Pürgg, you won't find 'stalls' in the traditional sense. The exhibitors showcase their diverse, traditional crafts in the barns, garages, stables, and houses of the picturesque small village. A wide-ranging program — including baking and crafting with children, visits to the landscape nativity scene Fahringer, musical performances and readings in the parish church, traditional Krampus games, the Glöcklerlauf (customs procession), guided tours of the Johanneskapelle, or a living nativity scene — immerses Pürgg and its visitors in an incomparable idyll and Christmas atmosphere during the first two Advent weekends.
